An attunement permits to become a Reiki practitioner. I practice attunement Level I, II and III.
If you choose to receive an attunement, congratulations for this wise decision and... welcome to a new world! It will allow you to know the basics of a Reiki session, so you will be able to transmit the energy to others. And, the main goal of an attunement is personnal growth. You will also, at the end of the day, be able to do a Reiki self treatment...It is better if you received some reiki sessions before the attunement, but it is not obligatory.

Attunements are organised on demand usually. It is one day and the evening before. It is usually a group of two or three persons, but can be done individually, depending on the level of Reiki Attunement (I, II or III).

Attunement Reiki I

 

· basics about meditation and cosmic energy,
· basics about human energy field (aura and the different energy body, chakras);
· basics about Reiki (history, interest of reiki; what is a reiki session, basics spiritual commitments on Reiki)
· hand positions for an auto treatment
· hand positions for an treatment on somebody else,
· First Reiki symbol, mainly use for energy work on the physical , and how to use it.
You will practice
· a guided auto-treatment,
· a healing on somebody else,
· and the basics about a reiki session (hand positions, chakra balancing, grounding techniques and aura balancing).  

Attunement Reiki II

· Second and Third Reiki symbols, mainly used for energy work on the emotional body, the mental body, also use for distance healing and past and future situations healing, and of course how to use them.
· Distance healing
· Energetic cleaning and protection of the house
 You will practice:
· a guided meditation on chakras
· an auto-treatment on one of your past situation,
· a distance healing on another person,
· and an emotional and mental treatment on somebody else.

Attunement Reiki III

· Fourth and Fifth Reiki symbols, mainly used for giving attunements, and also used for spiritual healing.
· How to prepare yourself before an attunement,
· How to give an attunement.
You will practice:
· a guided meditation,
· a healing on another person,
· a simulated attunement

Each Reiki "Master" teacher has his own unique way to teach and transmit to you a part of what he knows... That is why it is so difficult to "choose" your teacher without knowing him or her, and that is why it is really recommended to meet before and get a couple of sessions with your teacher.
